Xue Yan


Ms. Xue Yan is an associate in the Toronto office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. She practises in the area of commercial re


al estate, including acquisition and disposition of commercial real properties; financings, joint-venture, partnership and co-ownership arrangements for commercial real properties; long-term lease arrangements and mixed-use developments; public-private transactions; and leasing and property management of commercial real properties. She is a member of the Firm's Asia Pacific Client Service Team.


She had been an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School and the Department of Political Science of York University from 2003-2006.


She received her JD from the University of Toronto, PhD in Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, and her LLM and LLB from the Southwest University of Political Science and Law in China. Ms. Yan is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.





Min Kim Min Kim is an associate in Torys LLP’ M&A, Corporate and Capital Markets and Energy and Infrastructure groups. His practice focuses on corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions (both public and private), corporate finance and infrastructure. His experience includes participating in the Province of Ontario’s sale of a 15% interest in Hydro One Limited by way of a $1.83 billion initial public offering and Loblaw Company Limited’s $12.4 billion acquisition of Shoppers Drug Mart Corporation. Min received his JD/MBA and HBA from the University of Toronto in 2013 and 2009, respectively. He was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2014 and to the New York Bar in 2015. Min is fluent in Korean.








Victor Liu

Mr. Victor Liu is a partner at Goodmans LLP. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions (including public takeovers, statutory arrangements, auctions and distressed sales processes) and corporate finance (including public equity and debt offerings, high-yield bond financings, mortgage-backed securities, as well as TSX and TSX Venture transactions).

His practice also includes an emphasis on counselling early-stage private enterprises (in diverse industries including pharmaceutical, renewable energy, interactive media, health care and real estate) on their growth financings, shareholder agreements and governance, as well as strategic initiatives.

Mr. Liu received his J.D. from the University of Toronto and B.A. from Queen’s University.


Andrew Wong Mr. Andrew Wong is a partner at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. He is a civil engineering graduate whose practice includes work in international and Canadian construction law and infrastructure matters including project planning and related corporate advice, risk assessment and procurement issues. His project experience includes advising on public-private partnerships and alternative financing and procurement. His work includes reviewing, negotiating and drafting project agreements, EPC contracts, design-build agreements, construction agreements, tender and request for proposal documents, architectural service agreements, engineering service and consulting agreements, construction management agreements, and other related corporate/commercial and technical agreements including joint venture agreements, development agreements, purchase orders, operation and maintenance agreements and supply agreements. He also provides construction lien advice. Mr. Wong received his LL.B. from the University of British Columbia and B.A.Sc. from the University of Toronto.
