Sam Sivarajan​



Managing Director, Head of Manulife Private Wealth


Sam Sivarajan has almost 20 years of international experience in investment and private banking, as well as law and draws on this diverse experience to help address the challenges facing Manulife Private Wealth’s (MPW) clients. Prior to his current position, he was the Head of Investments and Head of Sales at MPW and was responsible for establishing Manulife Private Wealth’s investment platform. He previously held senior management roles at the Canadian subsidiary of an international bank, where he was responsible for the founding of the top-ranked ultrahigh-net-worth business in Canada and headed the team of advisors working with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth Canadian clients. Earlier in his career, Sam was a senior mergers and acquisitions investment banker in the telecommunications sector, as well as a corporate lawyer for a leading Canadian international business law firm. Sam published a well-received book on personal wealth management titled: “Money Talks: Lessons from Canada’s Wealthiest” and is regularly quoted in the media. A graduate of University of Western Ontario (Economics), he also has his MBA and JD degrees from the University of Toronto.





​Eva Chan


Eva Chan: Social Media Strategist, Consultant and Trainer for Legal Professionals

Eva practised advertising, marketing and information technology law at a national law firm for over a decade. She was co-leader of one of the firm’s practice group.


While practising law, Eva realized that legal professionals do not use social media to their advantage. She now helps lawyers save time in learning how to use social media. She works with them to develop their personal brand and to leverage social media to meet their legal marketing, and professional and business development goals.

In addition to Eva’s legal experience, she has a publishing and computer science background. She recently achieved a Professional Graduate Certificate in Marketing Management from Harvard Extension School.


Eva graduated from the Osgoode Hall Law School.





Harvey Lam​


Harvey Lam is a management consultant at Accenture and is building The Rumie Initiative.


The Rumie Initiative is a non-profit organization bringing free educational content to the world’s underprivileged youth through low-cost technology. He previously worked as a corporate lawyer at Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP and the Ontario Securities Commission. Harvey attended University of Toronto Law School and University of Waterloo. He is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper.











​André B. Bacchus, Hons. BA, JD As the Assistant Director of the Work Placement Office at the Law Practice Program (LPP), André is responsible for working with the Profession to identify work placements throughout Ontario, as well as developing and implementing the candidate preparation and support structures to ensure placements benefit both employers and candidates.

Prior to joining the LPP, André was the Director of Professional Development at Heenan Blaikie LLP. He was responsible for all aspects of the Toronto office's associate and student programs. Following his legal studies, André was admitted to the New York State Bar and worked as an Associate with the New York office of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP. André has also worked as a Recruitment Manager for Robert Half Legal and served as the Director of Career Services at Osgoode Hall Law School. Prior to attending law school, André held various positions with the Toronto offices of McMillan LLP and Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP.
